Alan Rickman in Marlowe film for Rose Theatre

The Rose Theatre Exhibition, in an effort to raise funds to restore the 1537 Rose Theatre, is showing a 35-minute film featuring the works of Christopher Marlowe. The film includes extracts of all of Marlowe's plays with a star studded cast including Alan Rickman. Rickman is part of a cast that also includes Sir Ian McKellen, Henry Goodman, Frances Barber, Shaun Parkes, Joseph Fiennes, Charlie Cox, Kevin McNally, Clive Francis, John Shrapnel, Rebecca Night, Anthony Sher and Harriet Walter, together with the voices of Dame Judi Dench and Derek Jacobi. The flim will give audiences an opportunity to see how Marlowe's plays might have been seen and heard at the Rose. The talent and crew donated their services for this effort. The Genius of Christopher Marlowe is showing at the Rose Theatre Exhibition through the end of the month (July 10 - August 29, 2009).

If you haven't seen this film yet, please try and catch it before the end of the month.  It is genius!
