David Tennant in adaptation of Murder in Samarkand for BBC Radio 4

The story of former diplomat Craig Murray, Murder in Samarkand, has been adapted for The Saturday Play for BBC Radio 4 with David Tennant playing the part of Murray. The flawed hero, Murray, a drinker and womanizer, is known for his exposure of the tyranny and torture of the Uzbekistan regime. Recalled to the Foreign Office, Murray is reprimanded and told that "moral questions aren't our business". The story of Murray's personal life is told alongside his diplomatic life. The play will be broadcast on Radio 4 on February 20, 2010.
